This is the first traditional adobe construction built in Fort Davis in the last seventy years. SILLA acted as the general contractor and performed all the construction, as well as designing the earthen architectural standards. The existing adobe building was dismantled, saving the original bricks and recycling the remaining materials into new adobe bricks. Traditional adobe construction methods and materials were used in building the guest house, which reflects architectural details of Fort Davis National Historic Site (FODA).
This is a high priority SILLA project that is temporarily on hold.
