SILLA sandals started with a question of what to do with leftover cuttings of leather used in our furniture. They evolved into shoes for family and friends. We did a small run of two designs for Levis—the “Ned” and the “Jésus”—in 2009. We have continued to make these sandals in small batches over the years.

Each pair of hand-crafted sandals that leaves the SILLA studio has been cut, folded, glued, and stitched for your feet. Concise in their design, these sandals are made to withstand wear from city streets to desert terrains. 

In 2012, when SILLA teamed up with the Levi’s Jeans brand to release the “Ned” and the “Jesus” sandals, Levi’s visited our studio to make a documentary video. This video details the process of manufacturing the sandals and how to customize them for individual wearers.
